English Writers in Italy

This group was formed in 2006 by English and American writers, mostly members of the British Society of Authors, all living and working in Italy. We comprise journalists, novelists, translators, poets and writers about music, politics, wine and food, science, property and travel. Writers who wish to join are welcome to get in touch - go to the contacts page. The basics qualification for membership is that you should have a permanent residence in Italy and be:

a writer or translator who has

either had a full-length work published (not at your own expense), broadcast, or performed commercially

or has had at least a dozen occasional items (eg. articles or short stories) published or broadcast

or has self-published and has sold over 200 copies of a single title in a 12 month period.
